Eva Payne, a devoted mother of six, embarked on her remarkable journey at the age of 21 when she founded a nonprofit summer camp. For over two decades, she and her dedicated team of volunteers provided cost-free summer camps for thousands of children and teens impacted by HIV and AIDS. As the number of children born HIV+ declined, Eva's innate ability to create safe, loving spaces evolved.
In January 2022, Eva channeled her knowledge and passion into Flow Life Retreats, hosting retreats for adults seeking healing, clarity, expansion, and community. After 50 retreats and three transformative years, the vision for Camp Flow Life emerged.
Eva observed a recurring theme at her retreats: adults crave play, community, and the opportunity to explore new experiences. Guided by her motto, "See a need and fill it," Eva envisioned combining the best elements of her summer camps and adult healing retreats.
2026 will mark the second year of Camp Flow Life. You are invited to be a part of this journey and Flow Life family.
Erin FitzGerald, a proud mom and Iowa native, brings a wealth of experience in all things summer camp. From the age of 10 to 18, Erin attended Eva's nonprofit summer camp, fostering a lifelong love for creating nurturing and loving spaces. As an adult, she has taken on various roles at summer camps, from camp counselor to camp director, Erin truly knows camp inside and out!
In 2024, Erin attended the Flow Life Retreat as a participant. This transformative experience, combined with her extensive camp background, inspired her and Eva to envision something entirely new. Together, they are excited to co-create a unique camp for adults, where reconnecting with playfulness, community, and friendship is at the heart of the experience.
Erin is thrilled to help bring this vision to life and create a space where adults can rediscover the joy and connection that camp offers.
In an era where adulthood often means a relentless pursuit of success, many of us have lost touch with the simple joys of childhood. Enter Camp Flow Life, a revolutionary concept blending the carefree fun of summer camp with the profound benefits of adult retreats. Founded by Eva Payne and directed by Erin FitzGerald, Camp Flow Life offers a unique escape where adults can rediscover playfulness, community, and healing.
Set in a picturesque traditional summer camp just outside Denver, Camp Flow Life is not your typical adult getaway. Imagine zip-lining through the trees, creating art at the craft shack, or sharing stories by the campfire, all while participating in transformative experiences like guided meditation and sound baths. This innovative approach addresses a growing need for adults to reconnect with their inner child and build meaningful connections in a supportive environment.
What sets Camp Flow Life apart is its foundation in decades of experience. Eva Payne, who began her journey hosting nonprofit camps for children impacted by HIV and AIDS, brings a deep understanding of creating nurturing, safe spaces. Erin FitzGerald, with her extensive background in summer camps and firsthand experience as a Flow Life Retreat participant, adds a layer of authenticity and expertise. Together, they have crafted a program that seamlessly integrates the best elements of youth camps with the healing practices of adult retreats.
The camp’s inclusive and alcohol-free environment ensures that every participant feels welcome and supported. The holistic approach to healing and genuine human connection, offers a new paradigm for personal growth and community building.
As we navigate the complexities of modern life, Camp Flow Life provides a much-needed respite, a chance to laugh, play, and heal in a setting that celebrates both our youth and our growth. It’s more than just a camp; it’s a movement towards a more joyful, connected, and holistic way of being.
